42 days ago is when my whole routine was thrown for a loop. Today was the first day I actually thought about the 10 Miler. Before I go any further, I want to wish all those who are running the 10 Miler tomorrow the best of luck. To Lynn, have fun. I know you are are going to do great. I will be looking forward to your results.
Over the last week I have been back to the gym and have been able to use the elliptical machines and jogging to the gym from my office with no adverse side effects. I am anxious to push it faster, farther and harder but I am going to ease into this. For the last several weeks I have been getting kinesio taping placed on my foot and it has made a world of difference. This week, we have made a tweak in my therapy and it has made immediate improvements. Things are starting to look up.
I have started to make some plans for upcoming training and races. I would like to get back to actual running in October and would like to hit a few 5ks in November. I doubt I will be as fast as before but being back will be the most important thing. After I see how my foot holds up after a few runs, I will commit to the races. I am suppose to go back to the ortho doctor first of October. I am sure his input will have some my future plans.
